How to save open?

Ok now, we have like 2 or 3 posts on how open is dead bla bla bla. Now I am interested in how could open improve or come back from the "dead"? What would you guys suggest to improve open? Maybe some of the contributors already gave suggestions and I missed them. And will anyone give a shit about this post or anyone's opinion? Or should we just complain and insult each other? Is this thread pointless?

I always am ready to support hosting for a second server other than duel. Only this can work if there are willing players ready to endorse admin/staff roles to get thing healthy going...(Game rules such as rounds, maps, etc...) That being said, If someone (actually)actively playing do the hosting and service, that's even better.

It's in the hands of the community, I think many solutions exists or could be thought of. It's about seeing where players wants to be, in what type of gameplay / atmosphere they wish to compete into

We have GONK and Legacy Legends dominating the serverlist now. To add "another" server will not save it.
People join the server that is populated at the time they want to join anyway.

I don't see how an active playing host can help with the problem either.

The offer is good but save your cash for something worth your money.

Garth, how can you possibly hope to revitalize Open with a new server, if you couldn't even keep THE BIGGEST AND MOST POPULAR eu clan alive under your "rule". It got so bad that the remnants of it had to break off from you and start from scratch just so YOU wouldn't be involved.


Please do not touch open. It never ends well with you involved. You have found a new niche in sheltering hackers and collaborating with them, so stick to that.

To save open you need to succeed at No Nut November then completely wreck yourself during Destroy Dick December, then Open will be revived.

Yes it's what civilised people do, when they deem themselves inactive. As I was and so was the entirety of BG team. To give up on that head admin position. I think TIN happened at the right time and transition did occurs nicely
Only it's hard to see that when a new BG open was needed (while Sen duel was thriving since a year) again, I am asked and I do accept (Minus yourself hacking into our FTP, I guess) but the admins and newly recruited BGs werent keen into taking the weight of dealing with problematic players on their own. I received rocks and stone in my direction.
While apparently everybody knew I was more interested by a different server. We've seen after I left hosting that second BG open server, where things landed eventually (Dont worry, I dont criticize your server at all ). Maybe if there wasn't hate speech and endless debate about me, I wouldnt have ceased hosting it ha ha--

That being said, I purposely said that it's better coming from active player to host (and correlate with the activity). Because handling problematic players is not the only purpose of an host, and I am not interested by the game as of late.

i dont see any problems with update and im still play OPEN most of the time. everyone who crying about DEEEEVS, you can just go play some other game and let new players enjoy this game. your complains is not interesting for anyone.

P.S. ''Gonk'' is the best open server in EU. ''Sandbox ! Pandemonium'' is best open server in NA
