I would imagine it's imperfect map work with slight edges that you can normally walk over, but get caught on when jetpacking. Still, while it should be fixed, it's not unavoidable, you ARE the one scraping across the group, and you can learn how to fly a little bit off the ground.

Pretty sure it's this. Map error not a jetpack mechanical problem.

Could argue it is a map error, but more or less its an issue with collision checks within the engine. That spot there slops up slightly then goes flat but it is all flush. So somethings going on with the collisions on the intersection or those two brushes and there isn't really anything you can do to fix that one map-side outside of making the entire thing flat (which requires moving half of the map upwards)

There are like thousands of places like this. If it's so complicated to fix, f**k this.

Yeah it kinda sucks. Patch meshes are the biggest offenders. Some places can be fixed or mitigated (like this one) but still a time consuming process.
