Can't activate Mandalorian jetpack mid-roll.

When I played this game a year or two or three ago, I remember being able to activate jetpack mid-roll with Mandalorian to get a horizontal speed boost. I asked in-game, and people said very confidently that it was still a thing. Despite being able to very consistently activate my jetpack with double-tap, double-tapping mid-roll does absolutely nothing for me.

I don't have any further notes on how to replicate it, and am not sure what kind of information would help solve this. I just wanted to get this out there.

edit: I may have just figured out what I was doing wrong. You have to let go of crouch before you double tap space. I'm not sure if I was doing that. I changed my installation location to be where my steam install is, too, which might've helped some things...?? Most likely I just wasn't executing it right.
