[SOLVED] Can I pause launcher updates/install?

Hey there,
I need to make a fresh install and I have very crappy internet at the moment. To be brief, I can close the launcher at any point during the download without it resetting or causing problems, correct? It already drives me crazy that after 3 update attempts, the game still didn't launch, I'd love to get this new fresh install right so I can finally play!
