1. Close the game and the launcher (open task manager and find them both).
2. Click on the launcher with right mouse button and click run as administrator.
3. Do not close the launcher, just keep it running.

What is your system? You can see in file properties level access you have. If you are logged on an administrator account this whole thing should not be an issue.

Make sure file "Jedi Academy\GameData\mbii.x86.exe" does exist.

If it does, right click on "Jedi Academy\GameData\mbii.x86.exe" => Properties => Unblock => OK.

If it doesn't, MBII Launcher => Settings => check "Enable logging" => Repair installation.
Post latest log from "Jedi Academy\GameData\MBII_Launcher\logs" here.

Also, you can switch to jamp:
MBII Launcher => Settings => Engine => JAMP => Play.

I'm having this same issue. When I change engine from JAMP to MBII it doesn't launch, nothing happens. When I set it to JAMP it gives me this administator issue.
