Thought it would be cool to have a Silent Hill FA in Movie Battles, so i spent a couple of months making this, hopefully someone will like this.
Silent Hill Alleyway
Map filename: sh1alley.bsp
This map is a recreation of the very first level from Silent Hill (1999) from Playstation 1. The map itself is quite small, but i think it will be more or less playable for 16 and less players.
The map consists of 2 parts: the normal foggy part and the so called otherworld, the connection between them 2 is done through teleport.
FA Characters
Red (defending team): Consists of 1 character, the protagonist of original game, Harry Mason. Has a class limit of 1 (only 1 person can play him), has 500 hp and lots of weapons from the original game. Also the so called flauros now serves a purpose unlike in the original game.
Blue (attacking team): Grey children, one of the monsters from the original game. Presented in 2 similar saberist classes. Look for more detailed class info below.
FA Objective
The objective is very simple. The defending team has to survive in order to win, the attacking team has to kill the defending one.
Credits:
All original assets from Silent Hill 1999 (textures, map objects, sounds, etc) - KONAMI.
The original design of the level - KONAMI.
Map recreation - cookie jar (me).
Portage of original Silent Hill assets into JKA - cookie jar.
Grey child model - made by KONAMI, ported into JKA and rigged by cookie jar.
Harry Mason model - recreated and rigged by me based on original Silent Hill 3d Cinematics. Also special thanks to Joshua from JKHub for letting me use his jacket model.
FA set up - cookie jar.
Also thanks to whoever created bullet effects, bullet wall marks and bullet missiles, sadly couldn't find who's the author of those. If you see this and want your name to be included in credits to this FA, let me know.
Link to .pk3 (latest): sh1alley.pk3
Installation: just put it into your MBII folder and you're good to go.
Obviously feel free to report any bugs, suggest any changes you think may benefit this map and FA.
Also it's best to stick to OpenJK and avoid playing this on JAMP engine, because for some unknown reason the map crashes when the round changes (at least in FA mode). If anyone knows what may cause this let me know.
