Recently, I've been getting this error when loading up the launcher:

Uhandled exception has occurred in you application.
Sequence contains no elements. details V

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

wtf?

Delete those folders:
Jedi Academy\GameData\MBII_Launcher
C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Movie_Battles_Team

When you start Launcher after that, it will say that Movie Battles isn't installed.
Just click Install, Launcher won't download files already on your drive.

I cant delete the GameData\MBII_Launcher folder because I need permission from administrators, I've tried a bunch of stuff but nothing has worked, what should I do?

  1. Restart your computer.
  2. Do NOT start MBII Launcher.
  3. Login as administrator.
  4. Right-click on "GameData\MBII_Launcher" => Properties => Security => give yourself all possible permissions, including all subfolders.
  5. Delete "GameData\MBII_Launcher".

I have done what you said and managed to delete the files I needed to and re-installed MBII. However I am still getting the error message and also I cannot load any maps.

What error do you get now, exactly?
Saying "I am still getting the error message..." without direct quotations is bad, horrible way to post any tech help requests, whether it MBII or something unrelated. Never do that.

Sorry, I'm talking about the error message that Gentlespy posted at the top of the page. Looks like this.

Update: I installed the 1.0.1 version using the zip file instead of the launcher but because it is out dated there are no servers for it, do you have an alternative download for the 1.4.5 version such as a zip file?

When I start the launcher up I still get the same error message I put in my previous reply however I also get this one now when trying to install it and then when clicking continue it doesnt install. The details of the error message looks like this:
Damn, I don't get it
Deleting folders I was talking about above should cure all those errors

Close MBII launcher
Shut down down your anti-virus, if any
Right-click on "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Jedi Academy" => Properties => Security => give yourself all possible permissions, including all subfolders.
Delete folder "Jedi Academy\GameData\MBII". Before that, you probably want to save your config (jampconfig.cfg and openjk.cfg) and achievements (achievements.dat).
Then once again, delete these folders:
Jedi Academy/GameData\MBII_Launcher
C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Local\Movie_Battles_Team
Run Launcher as admin.
I installed the 1.0.1 version using the zip file instead
1.0.1 version of what? Movie Battles? Where did you get it from? o_O
do you have an alternative download for the 1.4.5 version such as a zip file?
Yes
Download
Both torrent and server install are fine.

I have a video of me trying to do what you said but i cant attach it to this message, what would you like me to do?

- - - Updated - - -

I can't delete the file MBII

- - - Updated - - -

Update on the situation: I have installed the 1.4.5 version using the server file you linked me, I can join servers but after I pick my class it exits and I get this message on the MP Console:
recursive error after: Server disconnected: quit: Please start the game via launcher and keep it running!

- - - Updated - - -

also I get this error message if i try to start MBII using the launcher even though I have given myself all the permissions.

- - - Updated - - -

Fixed it, Everything is good now i think

Video is unnecessary. Just post a direct quotation and a screenshot.
I can't delete the file MBII
It's a folder, not a file.
If you can't delete it, that means there is no permissions or one of the files is locked by running process.
Like while MBII or MBII Launcher is running, their files cannot be deleted.
recursive error after: Server disconnected: quit: Please start the game via launcher and keep it running!
Technical Issue - BUG - Please start the game via launcher and keep it running!
also I get this error message if i try to start MBII using the launcher even though I have given myself all the permissions.
Yet another weird thing.
Seems like something is really wrong with permissions for JA folder, or you aren't logged as admin, or you have an anti-virus and it isn't configured properly, or... I just don't know... o_O
Fixed it, Everything is good now i think
Well it's great you finally solved, but what was the reason of issues for the first place, and how did you fix it?

Basically I installed the mod by extracting the server version into my Game Data folder then just downloaded the launcher again and launched it on my desktop, installed complete installation and it worked
