Hi! Due to a lot of complaints about abilities key binding system with the transition to r20, as well as the not very convenient before r20 system in general. I want to propose a concept of a circular menu, which, in my opinion, can solve a lot of problems.
My idea is to have...circular menu which could be called with arbitrary key (in ref game (crysis ) it was called with mouse wheel button hold).
- Menu would have all the abilities available to current selected class plus saber switching is always visible and on the top. Because e.g. in legends a lot of classes have saber and thus having vital switch be possible randomly repositioned is not a good thing.
- A specific ability can be bound to a key in the following way:
1. Open the menu
2. Select the required ability
3. Press a key from those available for this type of binding ( could be current class special keys ).
- User assigned binds for specific class ( across open/legends modes ) are saved in file. Thus solving the problem of having to bind keys at the beginning of each round
For those who is unfamiliar with crysis game there is a video reference of the feature:
