Technical Issue Chat causing lag issues

Hi everyone!

I need to get rid of a galactical problem. My connection is quite fair most of the times, the game is close to smooth, but everytime a new chat line appears or a new message appears (top of the screen) I get a lag. Sometimes just a stutter, sometimes much longer (on more populated servers, or when there's more messages at once). This happens even with 25 ping, so it seems it has little do to with that? I tried to tinker with the network settings, even bringing the visual quality down, nothing helps. Any ideas? Is there a way to turn off chat, or at least the kill messages?

You can try opening ingame console (~ or ^ + shift) and typing:
/cg_centertime 0 (disabling kill message)
/cg_chatbox 0 (disabling chat)
but i don't know if those commands work in Mb2.

Damn, can't find the solution anywhere on the internet, even tho my problem is very specific. Don't tell me anybody haven't encountered a lagging chat thing in this game -.-
