oh hey look, it's that guy, you're back, he's back, welcome back.
Yeah, soldier kinda got trashed like that. They're less solo-viable since they're so much worse at dodging, but hey, they still have three lives, frags, and an E-11.
So you're discouraged? :p
This clan would not be a failure if we did not manage to single-handedly de-toxify the community. The point of it would just be to have at least somebody defying the toxicity instead of accepting it. Having nobody at all fighting against the dark side is very bleak...
i still have not really gotten used to how far to lead my shots on these fastest-ass characters. Because their asses are so fast, you have to lead super far, BUT ALSO, since they're occupying any given spot for a shorter amount of time, i wonder if there's less margin for error on where you can...
Yes. :D
No, but really, I wasn't going for that. I'm aware that a clan that literally identifies as "we're trying to be good people and thereby support/improve the community" is kind of an uncomfortable, phony-smelling, restrictive-feeling concept, but to that concern I just feel like saying...
Jan 18 edit, for anyone wondering: while I'm maintaining this overall attitude/goal as a challenge to myself, I'm going to go back to switching names whenever i feel like it, with no clan tags. I'll keep my current in-game name in my sig so people who know me on the forums can ID me, though...
I've weighed Astromech droids (like R2) as a class before and i basically think that they're canonically not good enough at combat to be a good class for MBII. All classes in MBII can be configured to deal lots of damage, and I think this is an intentional design choice.
It could still be done...
@SHPECKLEDORF Health denotes physical constitution. I don't know if you read my long post above, but again: Jedi (in canon and in MBII) are not physically strong. If they get hit, they get hurt. They specialize in not getting hit, not in tanking hits. High health is an extremely silly idea, and...
my shpecker, if you're not trolling, here's what you're missing: this game is trying to be a balanced and competitively-oriented game. Not a "pick Jedi/Sith if you want to win, or pick any other class if you want to die" fantasy roleplay game. Gunners have to have a chance, or there's no reason...
hahaha. I might, but I really want Kit Fisto to officially have a better voice, otherwise if I go around spamming his taunts, regardless of what sound set i personally have, i'll be aggravating most other people (not including Peneke users) with dolphin noises
@Crusader all those factors affect Dodge iirc, plus drain is higher if you're running than if you're walking.
There's already an E-11 fighting style where you run around and then slow to a walk very briefly very often to fire off accurate sprays. Since DP drains are lower while walking, I feel...
right now, Kit Fisto has a super small pool of taunts which are all extremely annoying. This makes him fun as a troll character buuuuuuuuut mostly just legitimately obnoxious. In the Clone Wars TV show, he has a really cool voice! Couldn't somebody switch MBII Fisto to that voice, pleaaase...
It's a cool project, but, like the Peneke Pack, the basic quality standards are considerably lower than those of vanilla MB2, and there are a few gameplay-meddling factors that are really off-putting to me.
In the Peneke Pack, it's the fact that Peneke players can hear Vader players breathing...
smol critique: This format where, to join the server, you have to go find this thread on the forums and manually install the map, is pretty bad, I think. When you try to join the server, it just says you don't have the map. For people who don't really go on the forums or really think about the...
for reference, the proper broad name for that kind of droid is Astromech Droid. I thought about that as a reb class too, and between R2-D2 and Chopper from rebels, a broad array of tools are exhibited, but, the main problem IMO is that it's very hard to make an Astromech combat-viable without...
(off-topic: i'm struck by @Cotton @chicknman @Crusader
the EU community sounds more serious. i should move to Europe and dedicate my life to getting good at this one obscure video game.)
Necroing this interesting thread because I totally redid my keybinds a while back and have been wanting to tell someone about it.
cuz i really like these binds. I tried to cover everything I could possibly need across any class, including FA. I think i managed to make almost any possible useful...
