    You can fix this by selecting your layout and color config in the UI settings menu again. Something causes the ui_preset cvar value to get desynced (this is usually due to a menu replacement from an older build)

    This means you have a jpg file that is progressive. JKA doesn't allow progressive textures unless you use OpenJK, but it means it won't work in JAMP. So you need to be sure all jpgs are baseline/standard and not progressive.
