You truly are a powerful necromancer. This thread has been 'dead' for two years.

Regardless, I will bother to explain:
After being shot, the droid became worth less than the line of fire it was blocking.
Ruthlessness ultimately gnaws at the core of organic opponents. Notice how the clip was used for intimidation purposes.

That being said, I've 'killed' a handful of 'allied' droids for getting in my way. One more makes no difference to me.

Spoiler: Examples

Droids that become 'friendly' to the enemy.
Droids that toy with strategic terminals / door locks.
Droids that punch my chassis and run.
